Job Summary

Our client is seeking a seasonal tennis pro to work May-September. The YRC Teaching Professional is responsible for the proper management and execution of all tennis operations and functions and will report directly to a designated Board member. He/She will oversee daily upkeep of the courts, provide lessons, hold clinics, and help with tennis social functions.

Venue and Company description

Club, a beautiful, private, gated community club located in the mountains of North Carolina between Boone and Blowing Rock .

Yonahlossee has six outdoor Har-Tru tennis courts, three permanent indoor courts, indoor pool, fitness center and newly expanded club house and lounge.

Membership is comprised of  both homeowners in the residential development and community members.

Job duties and responsibilities

• Develop and run clinics and promote personal member lessons, social tennis events, round robins, ladders, league teams and activities that encourage member participation and help to grow club membership.
• Test and expand tennis/racquet offering for members to include new and/or trending events in the tennis industry including cardio tennis, pickleball, etc.
• Participate in tennis social events

Candidate qualifications and skills

College degree preferred; USPTA or PTR tennis teaching credentials. Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and ability to listen. Strong organizational and leadership skills.  3-5 years prior experience as a club pro preferred.  Private club experience a plus.  Certified Racquet Technician and equipment specialist preferred.
