Performance Coach

Job Summary 

We are looking for a passionate Level 3 or above coach to join their performance coaching team as the coaching programme looks to develop and grow. This will very quickly grow into a full time role and be on a self-employed basis. A guaranteed number of hours are available within the programme with the opportunity to add individual lessons.

Venue and Company Description

Our centre is managed by Virtus Leisure Management Ltd as a Community Indoor Tennis Centre. We have 6 indoor acrylic courts with 4 outdoor acrylic courts covered by a seasonal bubble, as well as a fully equipped gym. In addition to running a large performance programme and being an LPDC and RPDC, the centre provides pay and play opportunities as well as a large coaching programme for over 1,200 players, from tots to adults, of varying levels. The centre is also a Disability Hub and has strong links to local schools, regularly being active in their P.E curriculum.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be required to deliver high quality performance squads as part of a team, as well as individual lessons. There will also be a small number of hours coaching in the development programme, ranging from Tots Tennis to Adults. The centre is a recognised LTA Regional and Local Player Development Centre with a number of county and national level players aged 6-14 accessing the programme. A large part of the role will be involved with these two programmes. Hours of work will include daytime and evenings as well as weekends.

Candidate Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will be a Level 3 or above accredited plus coach who is positive, motivated and keen to learn and develop. All candidates will require - Excellent communication skills - Experience in leading performance sessions and working individually with performance players of a county level. - The ability to work independently or as part of a team - Good organisational skills and be an excellent time keeper - Good IT skills - A knowledge of the LTA national pathway and competition structure. - A willingness to support and contribute to the wider business - A willingness to work evenings and weekends
