Job duties and responsibilities
- The candidate must possess the ability to lead and direct a coaching staff (up to 13 coaches) and administrative staff (up to 3 individuals). This will include, creating and fostering a team environment and maintaining professional connections with fellow associates. The candidate should display strong work ethic, professionalism, integrity, and the overall ability to lead by example
- The candidate should possess experience administering and organizing tennis programs for the advancement of juniors and/or collegiate players
- The candidate must possess excellent verbal communication skills. This includes the ability to interact with and relate to players of all ages, particularly from the ages of 8 to 21.
- The candidate should also be comfortable communicating with parents and coaches.
- The candidate should possess excellent written skills and be able to write up daily training programs, developmental plans, and create overall program structures within the context of Our Teaching Method
- As the Director of Coaching will be responsible for the development and progress of young aspiring student athletes, he or she must exhibit the highest level of integrity, professionalism and a passion for teaching. The number one priority is always the safety and well-being of the student athlete
- The Director of Tennis will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day tennis operations of the Academy, including management of multiple tennis programs, supervision of administrative and professional coaching, coordinating with academic supervisor to ensure student athletes are maintaining academic standards and demonstration of outstanding leadership skills
- The Director of Tennis will actively engage in on-court coaching and managing the operation of tennis clinics. He or she will be responsible for ensuring that Academy players at all times receive outstanding on-court training
- The Director of Tennis must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, as he or she will be responsible for interacting with students and parents, leading and directing staff members, and drafting training programs, developmental plans, and other written program materials
- The position will require periodic traveling, including travel to major junior tennis events to promote the Academy, observe and coach players, provide on the job training to coaching staff, and perform other job duties as assigned.
