Assistant Coach Ash Taylor Tennis
Over the summer vacation of 2012 I worked for Ash Taylor Tennis as an assistant coach helping with a daily summer camp. The summer camp ran for six continuous weeks and I was part of the team every day. I was involved with two separate age groups, 4-8 and 9-16 which were run by the camp. I contributed and adapted my skills to assist to both the children and the coaches. I was involved in preparing equipment, lesson planning, mentoring, conducting exercise programmes and assessment of needs. I was required to use my creative skills by helping to devise games and routines which were both enjoyable and achieved results. I was also required to be professional and imaginative by being flexible and adapting to meet changing needs and conditions, often at very short notice.
