About the Role

The Padel Collective seeks a full-time Director of Padel (DOP) to join the team on-site in Austin, TX. The DOP will interact with Assistant Director of Padel, General Manager and Founding Team and should possess an early-stage growth mindset. The DOP will report to the General Manager (GM) and be responsible for overseeing all aspects of padel operations, including teaching classes, developing programming schedules, and managing day-to-day court activities. This is a rare leadership opportunity to shape the culture, quality, and future of padel in the U.S.

Purpose: To bring padel to life at The Padel Collective.

Objectives:

1.        To grow revenue, build a community and deliver high-performing on-brand operations

2.      Ensure all padel programming reflects The Padel Collective’s hospitality philosophy and brand standards

3.      Contribute to building scalable playbooks and systems for future club expansion

Outcomes:

1.        Guests leave happy, come back, and bring others with them

The Padel Collective is a Padel Lifestyle Oasis, a brand-led padel space opening in Q2 2026, featuring five indoor, climate-controlled padel courts, a café with a curated menu, a lounge area, coworking space, changing rooms, an outdoor deck, and a wooden sauna with barrel plunges.

Job duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities

Teaching & Programming

·         Oversee all padel operations and work closely with the GM to ensure smooth club management

·         Teach private and group lessons, lead clinics, and ensure top-tier instructional quality (28 hours a week MAX)

·         Develop and manage padel programming including clinics, leagues, private lessons, seasonal camps, and special events, optimizing court utilization and revenue

·         Organize and run tournaments, exhibitions, and social events

·         Supervise, provide feedback and mentor Assistant Director of Padel

Operations & Administration

·         Oversee court reservation systems, program registrations, and related financial tracking

·         Support front desk operations and assist with Guest communications when needed

·         Assist with club communications including social media posts, emails, and newsletters

·         Manage pro shop operations and inventory with the GM

·         Contribute to invoicing, payment tracking, and follow-up on outstanding balances

·         Collaborate with the Team on programming calendars, closures, and special announcements

·         Enforce club policies and procedures and support team development

·         Track KPIs and report monthly performance metrics to the GM

·         Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the GM

Space Oversight & Guest Experience

·         Maintain playing areas, ensure courts and equipment are in excellent condition

·         Foster a welcoming community identifying and building relationship with regular Guests

·         Promote visibility and engagement with Guests during peak hours and build strong rapport with Guests

·         Ensure on-brand demeanor and our hospitality standards when interacting with Team and Guests

·         Gather Guest feedback and always improve the collective experience

·         Take ownership of club cleanliness, functionality, and appearance

Performance Metrics

At an early stage we expect the Director of Padel to grow the Active Programming Participants (APP) base through tournaments, clinics, private lessons and events. You’re the main Experience Curator and ensuring high retention rates and Guest Satisfaction Index (GSI) are key performance metrics to balance off the financial expectations.

We are a team of high achievers and believe that results should be measurable. We suggest the four following metrics for the DOP:

1. APP - Total players attending clinics, private lessons and leagues.

2. Programming Fill Rate — Average occupancy across all clinics and tournaments.

3. Retention — Share of players active in Month N who make any booking in Month N+1.

4. GSI — Average star rating from private (QR code) and public reviews, covering padel experience, programming, and coaching.

Candidate qualifications and skills

What You Bring

·         Bachelor’s Degree preferred; High School diploma or GED required

·         Minimum 5 years of racquet sports teaching/coaching experience

·         Padel Certification (PCR or equivalent) required

·         WPR rating of 10.0 + or college tennis level playing experience required

·         USTA Safe Play certification required

·         Valid First Aid, CPR, and AED certification preferred

·         Proven ability to lead programs and coach players with high standards

·         Proficiency in padel rules and instruction.

Benefits

Compensation and Perks

Total compensation ranges between $90,000 – $130,000 and consists of:

1. Base Salary

2. Teaching Contributions: Share of all lessons, clinics, tournament profits

3. KPI Bonus
