Tennis Coach Level 3

Job Summary

Tennis Coach Level 3 delivers youth and junior group sessions twice per week (Saturday 9am-12pm & Wednesday 4-8pm Contracted) with the option to deliver 30 / 45 / 60 mins private coaching to both juniors and adults. Tennis Coach level 3 will deliver a tennis xpress session to new beginner adults and parents of juniors, and will work alongside the head coach to establish a concrete club to school’s link at a local secondary school. Finally Tennis Coach level 3 will assist in internal and external LTA graded tournaments + club finals day.

Venue and Company description

The tennis club is a family friendly and popular club situated in Quay Lane, Sudbury. It boasts three synthetic clay courts with new upgraded LED floodlights to allow for all year-round play. The first courts of this type in Suffolk, which are all floodlit. With a comfortable club house and pleasant surroundings, the club has a welcoming and sociable atmosphere. The club encourages both social and competitive tennis through a full programme of club sessions, coaching, tournaments and local league matches for adults, senior players and juniors alike. The club has upwards of 70 adult members and 80 junior members and features well in the Halstead & District Tennis League’s.

Job duties and responsibilities

The aim of the club is to provide outstanding facilities for its members and visitors to play and enjoy tennis at a competitive and social level. The tennis club prides itself on being a friendly club and welcomes new members, visiting players and guests to enjoy the club’s facilities.

The key focus point is to endeavour to progress the club from recreational and participation, to developmental and push external competition.

Candidate qualifications and skills

Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) Coach qualification Level 3 Accreditation or Accredited + Coach.

  • Have liability insurance, first aid certification and DBS certificate.
  • Have a car and a full driving license, this is imperative!
  • Be experienced in coaching adults and juniors of all ages from 3yrs upwards from absolute beginner to competition.
  • Be competent in business skills such as time management, record keeping, marketing and finance.
  • Be ambitious and self-motivated to run a successful business at the club and surrounding links.
  • Play tennis to a good standard and be willing to represent the club in the local tennis leagues.


This will depend on performance and years of experience.
