Venue and Company description
We are a tennis management company that operates at 13 clubs across Auckland and the Waikato, and around 50 schools.
We provide coaching to players of all ages and abilities, from national performance players through to junior, adult and schools coaching.
With a team off court supporting our coaches there’s opportunity for growth, to work directly with management and a career pathway within the company.
Job duties and responsibilities
This role is a senior role and involves the following:
- Delivery of group and private tennis lessons
- Overseeing the provision of all tennis coaching at the club
- Assisting in establishing and coordinating ongoing programs across the club and surrounding schools
- Promotion and growth of the club and school coaching programs, in addition to our holiday programs, each term.
- Managing the club’s coaching team
- Creating lesson plans for all sessions at the club
- Attendance at Committee meetings
- Playing interclub for the nominated club
- Running junior tournaments and assisting with club champs and club tournaments
- Training assistants and mentoring junior coaches where required
Our administration team supports all aspects of what needs to be done off court, meaning the successful candidate will do what they do best – COACH!
Candidate qualifications and skills

- An outgoing and dynamic personality that can relate easily to adults and juniors
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- An ability to build positive relationships with key stakeholders
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications
- Full Drivers License & car
- A tennis playing background, preferably at a high performance level.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a Senior Coach role
- A minimum of ITF Level 1/JDC/LTA Level 3, working towards Level 2/LTA Level 4.
- A valid First Aid Certificate
- A valid police/working with children check
Benefits
This role is paid hourly at a flat rate on a contractor basis, with uniform and a racquet sponsorship provided.
For the right candidate sponsorship for a work visa is a possibility. This is easier for some passport holders than others and work visas are not possible for everyone due to immigration restrictions. Work visa recipients would be employed for 30-40 hours a week on a full time basis, with eligibility for sick leave and annual leave.
