Head Coach for Junior Tennis Academy

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Coach to lead our program for competitive junior athletes, with a specific focus on preparing players for the NCAA pathway. We can start with 3 month camp and later for a full-time job in China

Job duties and responsibilities

Program Development & On-Court Delivery
Design and Deliver Camp Curriculum: Plan and execute a comprehensive, structured 3-month on-court training program for all camp participants. This includes daily group sessions, tactical clinics, and match-play scenarios designed to elevate players' technical, tactical, and mental skills.
Individualized Training Plans: Develop and implement specific training plans for advanced junior players, focusing on their individual strengths, weaknesses, and competitive goals. Monitor progress through regular assessments and skill evaluations.
Lead Training Sessions: Coach approximately 30+ hours of on-court sessions per week, working with players of varying skill levels within the 12-16 age group. Ensure sessions are engaging, high-energy, and foster a positive and disciplined training environment.
Integrate Physical Development: Work in collaboration with strength and conditioning staff (if applicable) to incorporate age-appropriate physical training. Focus on speed, agility, injury prevention, and the long-term athletic development needed for collegiate competition.
Organize Competitive Play: Structure and oversee internal camp competitions, matches, and "collegiate-style" practice sessions. This will help players experience the intensity and format of college tennis.
NCAA Pathway Introduction - parents workshop 
Administrative & Communication Duties
Manage Camp Operations: Oversee the day-to-day logistics of the camp, including scheduling of courts, coaches, and daily activities. Handle administrative tasks such as registration, record-keeping, and equipment management.
Lead Local Coaching Staff: Mentor, supervise, and coordinate with 1-3 assistant coaches or assistants working in the program. Provide regular feedback and conduct staff evaluations.

Candidate qualifications and skills

A strong background in developing high-performance players aged 12-16, with a focus on technical, tactical, and mental skills.Demonstrated experience guiding players through the NCAA recruitment process. This includes a proven ability to place players in collegiate programs and a thorough understanding of NCAA eligibility requirements.Holds relevant coaching certifications ( , USPTA, PTR) and is committed to staying at the forefront of coaching best practices.Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively lead young athletes, work with parents, and build a cohesive team culture.
