INTERNATIONAL HEAD TENNIS COACH

An established and ambitious tennis academy in India is seeking an experienced International Head Tennis Coach to join its high-performance coaching team.
We are looking for a highly motivated professional with a strong background in junior high-performance player development who is ready to take a significant leadership role within a growing international-standard tennis program.
THE ROLE
The Head Tennis Coach will work closely with the Director of Tennis and the academy’s coaching and performance team to develop competitive junior and senior players and maintain the highest standards of coaching, discipline and professionalism.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute not only as an excellent on-court coach, but also as a leader, mentor and developer of players and coaches.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead high-performance tennis sessions for competitive junior and senior players.
Plan and implement structured technical, tactical and match-development programs.
Create and monitor Individual Player Development Plans.
Conduct regular player assessments and establish measurable development objectives.
Develop players’ tactical understanding, competitive identity and match-management skills.
Work closely with strength & conditioning, sports nutrition, physiotherapy and other performance-support professionals.
Lead and mentor members of the coaching team.
Maintain high standards of court discipline, professionalism and player accountability.
Participate in tournament planning, player scheduling and competition preparation.
Travel with players to selected national and international tournaments when required.
Communicate effectively with players, parents and academy management.
Contribute to the continued development of the academy’s high-performance methodology and coaching culture.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
We are particularly interested in candidates who have:
Significant experience coaching high-performance junior players.
Experience working within a recognized tennis academy, federation or professional performance environment.
Strong technical and tactical knowledge of the modern game.
Demonstrated ability to develop players over the long term rather than simply conduct lessons.
Experience preparing players for national and/or international competition.
Strong understanding of periodization, tournament preparation and player development pathways.
Ability to analyze matches and translate observations into practical training objectives.
Strong leadership and team-management skills.
Ability to mentor and develop other coaches.
Excellent communication skills and professional command of English.
High standards of integrity, discipline and professional conduct.
HIGHLY DESIRABLE
ITF, ATP/WTA, national federation or internationally recognized coaching certification.
Previous experience with nationally or internationally ranked junior players.
Experience with ITF Junior, ITF World Tennis Tour, Tennis Europe, Asian junior circuits or equivalent competitive pathways.
Experience travelling internationally with competitive players.
Playing background at a strong national, collegiate or professional level.
Experience working within a multidisciplinary high-performance team.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 5 years’ experience coaching competitive/high-performance tennis players.
Proven experience developing high-performance junior players.
Recognized ITF, national federation, PTR, RPT, GPTCA or equivalent international coaching certification.
Experience with nationally or internationally ranked junior players strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of modern technical, tactical and match-development methodologies.
Experience with ITF Junior, ITF World Tennis Tour, Tennis Europe, Asian junior circuits or equivalent pathways preferred.
Ability to design and manage Individual Player Development Plans (IDPs) and long-term development programs.
Strong understanding of periodization, tournament planning, match analysis and competition preparation.
