Job Title:      Academy High Performance Coach

Venue:     South Tenerife, Spain.

Academy is a full time academy with education on site, we provide year round personal programs for our students with daily double training sessions, as well as coach accompanied national and international tournament travel. With it’s unique geographical location, players are able to train 365 days of outdoor tennis in the sun. At TTA we work as a team to give the best environment possible for our players to succeed, and we are now looking to add a strong member to our coaching team.

Job duties and responsibilities

Role and Purpose:

To plan and deliver high quality, energized training sessions for academy players in conjunction with the existing team of coaches.

To accompany academy players to tournaments (nationally and internationally)

Responsibilities:

Plan your daily coaching sessions in line with the Head Coaches period plan

Insure high level of professionalism, and follow the TTA coach code guidelines

Creating and maintaining good awareness of players goal

Planning of players tournament schedules

Integrate strength and conditioning into the tennis program

Monitor and review performance and progress

Plan and travel with teams to national and international tournaments

Watch and chart players in competition

Ensure content is always fresh and exciting, learning should be fun

Maintain high level of player retention

Continue personal development in relevant area

Bring energy to every and enthusiasm to every session

Candidate qualifications and skills

Qualifications and Experience: Any of the following…

Recognized coaching qualification (international or from your country)

Experience in developing Junior tennis players to national/international level.

Degree in sport science or equivalent, or UKSCA qualified

Professional tennis background (playing or coaching)

Strong reference from highly qualified or well known coach in your area.

Note: We may take on an excellent candidate as an apprentice coach, in which case the applicant must have a very high playing level and experience competing at international level (ITF Pro level)

The Applicants should have:

Essential:

• Hold full drivers license

• Relevant experience

• Criminal free record

• Excellent IT skills and digital presentation capabilities

• Represent and demonstrate a clean and healthy lifestyle

• Willing to learn to speak Spanish

Desirable but not essential:

• Additional languages such as Spanish, Russian.

• A background in competing at an international level

• Visa or work permit to work in Spain

• Additional related qualifications or diplomas

• Previous experience working with word class tennis players
