Head Tennis Coach / program lead based at the British International School Shanghai (BISS) Puxi Campus.
sportED Tennis has been operating in Shanghai China since 2018. The main philosophy has always been connecting Sport and Education providing structured programs with clear benchmarking based on data (ITF and UTR) and focused on results.
sportED also owns and operates NWL, Chinas largest UTR competitions platform with huge potential for recruiting players.
Leading and managing the Student-Athlete School Tennis Program, supporting and developing, in collaboration with the school, to providing student-athletes a pathway to NCAA tennis.
Role includes hosting/managing team try outs, school team selection and training, coaching TEAM+ performance programs reporting to tennis director and folllowing TEAM+ training systems. And most importantly communicating player development with the school (head of sport and college counselors), tennis director and NCAA Track advisors.
Also includes player scouting (at tournaments), player recruiting and management.
Work schedule will be 5-6 days a week (40 hours) including both on and off court roles and responsibilities.
We are looking for a qualified coach with NCAA experience either as a player or coach or both (ideally).
This position is for a coach that has experience in preparing student-athletes for NCAA College Placement both on and off the court, with a solid playing level (UTR 9+).
