Senior Coach

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior coach. This position can be taken on full time or part time, taking only one day or a few days to suit you.

Position available from Term 3, with optional school holiday work prior. We specialise in the program development of players of all abilities form kinder children to high performance players, ladies groups, Hot Shots, Teenagers, adults, effectively anyone who wants to learn the game. We have a large focus on groups and the friendship and connections within these group settings. Additionally we have a high performance program, for our talented tournament athletes.

Coaches able to come on board for a few hours, a few day’s a week, or every day of the week. (Our company has an equal opportunity for employment policy, and are extremely flexible to accommodate employees.)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Expected to participate in all on court programs

• Travel between venues, (3-7mins apart)

• Arrive early to set equipment up and greet students

• Actively promote and grow participation numbers

• Plan every lesson with purpose and specific goals for student progressions

• Be confident coaching beginners, children, adults, private lessons, squads and students with a disability. Qualifications and Experience

• Tennis Australia Coach Member (or international equivalent) or willing to be one

• Tennis Coaching experience is a MUST

• Formal qualifications will be favourably viewed, however we do appreciate not all amazing coaches have a formal qualification, but a desire to be formally qualified is expected

Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to identify new business opportunities as well as cultivate and maintain existing relationships

• Excellent communication and rapport building skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• Ability to manage and organise work and self in a systematic, accurate and timely manner Attributes

• Self-management

• Approachable and welcoming

• Honest and trustworthy

• Well mannered, articulate and well presented

• High personal standards

• Works with integrity

• Reside locally

HOURLY RATE:

• coaches are permanent part time or Full Time with ample scope to increase. Salary is according to qualifications and experience as per the Sporting Organisations Award 2022.

Venue and Company description

Operating from Doncaster Tennis Club, St Gregory’s Tennis Club and 16 local schools.

15 flood lit courts, with a full off court administration, marketing and payroll team.

The Senior Coach will work alongside other senior coaches, making an impact in our locally community and building their reputation as a highly sough after coach in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne.

Candidate qualifications and skills

Formal tennis qualifications required, international qualification is accepted.
