Padel Academy is recruiting a resident Academy Technical Director to build a proprietary player-development pathway from junior beginners through competitive and high-performance players. This is a system-building leadership role — not a private-lesson position. You’ll design the coaching methodology, lead selected academy groups personally, and train and certify the wider coaching staff so the system doesn’t depend on any one individual. Kuwait-based, 2-year initial term.
Padel Academy is a premium 5-court indoor padel facility at The Regency Hotel, Salmiya, Kuwait. We are an academy — not just a club — with a clear goal: to become the leading player-development destination in Kuwait. The Technical Director reports to the Managing Director and works closely with the head coaching team, with full autonomy over methodology and coach development. Our ethos is professional, standards-driven, and focused on building a system that outlasts any individual coach.
• Create and document the Academy Methodology (technical, tactical, physical, behavioural)
• Design junior pathways for ages 8–16 across recreational, development and competitive streams
• Establish adult beginner-to-advanced levels with clear entry tests and promotion criteria
• Lead high-performance planning: tournament prep, periodisation, video review, individual development plans
• Train, observe, assess and certify all coaches
• Audit lesson quality, attendance and adherence to session standards
• Support scheduling, group composition and capacity planning
• Provide monthly management reporting and quarterly development reviews
• 8–10+ years padel coaching experience, ideally including academy leadership
• Demonstrable experience developing juniors and competitive players — not solely adult private lessons
• Track record building programs, curricula, or coach-development systems
• Strong English; Spanish an advantage
• Comfortable working to measurable KPIs (methodology delivery, coach development, retention, program performance)
• Willing to relocate to Kuwait for the contract term
• Professional, commercially aware, able to manage and mentor other coaches
• Competitive fixed salary
• ORO-provided accommodation or housing allowance
• Residency visa sponsorship and medical insurance
• Annual return flight to home country
• Performance bonus tied to academy and player-development KPIs
• Structured private-training revenue share after core academy duties are met
• Long-term role with genuine ownership over a proprietary system (not an imported franchise model)
