Academy Coach or Assistant Coach

Job Summary

We are currently looking to add 1-2 more members to our Coaching Team.

Venue and Company description

Established in 2003, Academy is a premier USTA Award-winning tennis academy in the South and East Bay Area of Northern California. We specialize in Competitive Development where we prepare players for High School, USTA, ITF, College Tennis and Professional tournaments.

Job duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities will depend on experience and they include:

-Coach and organize group training sessions
-Coach and organize private lessons
-Coach and oversee group training, hitting clinics, hitting sessions, all aspects of training tennis at different levels, from 10U, juniors, college and professional tennis.
-Continue to learn and improve as a tennis coach.
-Work together with other coaches to stride for the academy's vision.
-Attend monthly coaches' meeting as an on-going effort to improve the academy's tennis training and overall operation
-Being a team member is a must. The academy operates as a whole and everyone has more to gain together.
-We provide opportunities to grow and develop for coaches who seek long term career in Tennis. Support and development include (but not limited to): train and prepare for professional certification, and High Performance program certification, tennis travels, Competitive Junior Development coaching, paid certification exam, etc.

Candidate qualifications and skills

Passionate about Tennis and Teaching Junior Tennis
Enjoy learning about junior player development, especially for competitive juniors
Desire to grow and develop a career in Tennis Training and Coaching
Competitive playing experience, such as High School, Junior Tournaments, ITF or College Tennis -some are desirable but not required.
Prior coaching experience in Junior Competitive Development is highly desired.
USPTA/PTR/ITF Certified is desired but not required
Hitting ability about UTR 7 or higher is highly desired but not required.
