Private Tennis Coach Opportunity – Malta
We are looking for an experienced and motivated tennis coach to work closely with our two children in Malta and help them continue their development at a highly competitive level.
Our daughter is 14 years old and currently competes in ITF Juniors, Tennis Europe events, and represents Malta in National Team competitions. Our son is 12 years old and also competes in Tennis Europe events and National Team competitions for Malta.
Both are highly committed, hardworking athletes with ambitious goals, and I am looking for a coach who wants to become an important part of their journey and contribute to their long-term development in tennis.
You will work with two dedicated and motivated young players who are fully committed to their tennis development. You'll be part of a supportive environment with access to additional fitness and performance expertise. There is significant opportunity to make a long-term impact on the development of two promising athletes.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in development and references demonstrating coaching experience as a private coach.

The role is based in Malta, offering excellent year-round training conditions and easy access to European tournaments. It is a private coach setup.
The role includes international travel and exposure to high-level junior competition across Europe

Job duties and responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Leading the tennis development programme for both players on a daily basis
- Creating and implementing personalised training plans tailored to their individual needs and goals
- Preparing for and travelling to selected Tennis Europe and ITF tournaments
- Working alongside fitness, performance and support professionals where required
- Developing technical skills, improving tactical, physical and mental aspects of performance
Helping the players build resilience, confidence, discipline and strong match-play skills
Candidate qualifications and skills
Ideally, you will have:
- A proven track record of developing junior players, supported by references
- Experience working within Tennis Europe, ITF Juniors or professional tour environments
- Recognised coaching qualifications (ITF, GPTCA, PTR, RPT or equivalent)
- A strong understanding of long-term athlete development and competitive performance
- Excellent tactical awareness and match analysis skills
- The ability to develop mental toughness, focus and problem-solving under pressure
- The flexibility to travel internationally when required
- A coaching philosophy that values player wellbeing, safeguarding and personal development as much as results
- Most importantly, we are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with ambitious young athletes and can build a positive, trusted relationship with them while challenging them to improve every day.
