Job Summary
MTA is looking for a Head Coach with ITF Level 2 (minimum) certification, preferably with ITF Level 3 certification and a proven track record of producing good tennis players at the national level.
Working requirements: 6 days a week; and 8 hours a day.
Venue and Company description
MTA has been working to develop Maldivian tennis for the past 8 years.
We are situated at the National Tennis Centre in Male’, Maldives.
Job duties and responsibilities
- Able to develop a comprehensive tennis training program suitable for all age groups and all levels of play.
- Able to lead a team of diverse tennis coaches and bring out their best in order to deliver the MTA training program and achieve MTA goals.
- Able to develop tennis players and instill them with proper technical skills, tactical knowledge, with good physical conditioning and knowledge of nutrition.
- Able to give corrections to all level of tennis players of different ages.
- Able to handle private tennis sessions and group sessions.
- Able to instill a strong culture of teamwork and upholding MTA rules and standards amongst MTA coaches.
- Able to devise and implement weekly, monthly and annual training plans in line with MTA goals and the annual tournament calendar.
- Communicate and discuss with MTA Management on issues and overcoming challenges in order to develop and further improve MTA training program.
- Able to provide additional tennis related assistance to MTA Management as needed.
Candidate qualifications and skills
Minimum level of qualification: ITF Level 2 certification. Preferably, an ITF Level 3 certified coach.
Experience: 10 years coaching experience. Ideally, we are looking for candidates with experience in creating national level or regional level tennis players.
