Job Summary
Reporting to the Recreation Operations Manager, the Tennis & Padel coach will provide successful delivery of all Misk Recreation Team Tennis & Padel activities, programmes, schools, academy, and holiday camps delivered by Misk City. Ensuring these programmes are delivered to the highest standards, in a safe, welcoming, and all-inclusive environment.

Job duties and responsibilities
Key Tasks:
- Act as the primary point of contact for participants, parents, and teachers.
- Contribute to a positive experience for all sports participants and spectators.
- Prepare activity areas promptly, ensuring safe setup, dismantling, and storage of equipment for sporting activities and events.
- Assist the Recreation Operations Manager and recreation team in preparing and delivering events, tournaments, community days, and multi-sports activities.
- Support the safe operation of Misk Sports Wadi sports facilities, including courts, pitches, tracks, and site storage containers.
- Mentor and develop the assistant staff, ensuring they are fully prepared to support programmes and activities.
- Open and close facilities as required.
- Ensure smooth session transitions and report faults or damage to equipment.
COACHING RESPONSIBILITIES
KEY AREA:
- Serve as the tennis & padel coach for Misk Sports Wadi sporting activities and programmes.
- Help organise and run a comprehensive tennis & padel programme for guests of all ages, incorporating group coaching, free play, social tennis, and 1-2-1 lessons.
- Assist in preparing and delivering tennis & padel leagues and tournaments.
- Actively promote tennis & padel programmes to increase participation.
- Deliver consistently high-quality sessions across all programmes.
- Collaborate with the recreation team to create and review session plans, focusing on tennis & padel skill activities.
- Continuously evaluate and improve coaching performance.
- Monitor supplies and promptly inform the Recreation Operations Manager when restocking is needed.
- Work as part of the team to support and assist guests using the facilities.
TECHNICAL
- Stay informed on trends and best practices in tennis coaching and teaching.
- Deliver engaging, fun, safe, and informative tennis sessions.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of current tennis developments and the European playing system.
- Communicate effectively with guests of all ages, management, and colleagues.
- Lead, motivate, and train the team while fostering positive working relationships.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
- Ensure Health and Safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Provide accurate safety information to participants as needed.
- Verify that equipment is in working order and areas are safe before each session.
- Report safeguarding concerns promptly, in line with policies.
CUSTOMER SERVICE & QUALITY
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Meet and greet parents and teachers, providing updates on their child’s behaviour or actions during programmes.
- Communicate with children at their level, creating a positive and encouraging environment for participation.
- Serve as the point of contact for parents, addressing any queries about activities.

Candidate qualifications and skills
Required
- Nationally or internationally recognised coaching qualification in Tennis and Padel, such as RPT Level 2/3, LTA Level 2/3, ITF Level 2/3, FIP (International Padel Federation), or equivalent accredited national federation qualification.
- First Aid certificate valid for the duration of your contract – this should be a minimum 6-hour practical course providing a certificate that is valid in the workplace.
- Experience coaching adults and children of all abilities.
- Experience working as part of a team.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Minimum age 25 years old – reflecting the need for maturity, professional responsibility, and commitment to living and working in Saudi Arabia.
Desirable
- Degree in Sports Management, Fitness and Leisure, Sports Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Additional coaching qualifications.
- Experience working in international or multicultural environments.
- Experience delivering or assisting in multi-sport coaching programmes.
