The Justine Henin Academy, a high-level training center founded by Belgian champion Justine Henin, is recruiting an experienced tennis coach to strengthen its international coaching team.

The academy welcomes players enrolled in the Tennis & Studies program, who aim to combine quality academic education with intensive tennis training, as well as high-potential athletes seeking to benefit from the expertise of Justine Henin and her staff in a human-centered, demanding environment based on the values of performance, respect, and commitment.
Job duties and responsibilities
As a lead coach, you will be responsible for the overall support of a group of players, working closely with the sports team, families, and the academy’s administration.
Your main duties will include:
📊 Technical & Athletic Follow-Up
- Setting clear, personalized goals: ranking, tactics, technique, physical and mental aspects
- Monitoring daily training schedules: coordination with the schedule manager, daily attendance checks
- Delivering training sessions at variable hours between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm from Monday to Friday, and being available on weekends if necessary
- Coordinating with other staff members: tennis coaches, physical trainers, mental coaches, nutritionists
- Participating in weekly morning warm-ups
- Creating and regularly updating technical profiles for each player
📆 Planning & Tournaments
- Developing tournament calendars, handling registrations, managing individual budgets
- Match briefings and debriefings, coaching during matches, scouting future opponents, organizing tennis/fitness sessions and full daily routines (meals, warm-ups, stretches)
- Writing a tournament report within a week after return
- Handling logistics for international trips (including advance budgeting)
- Tracking tournament expenses
👨👩👧 Educational & Relational Follow-Up
- Three annual meetings with parents
- Sending a written debrief to the sports coordinator after each parental meeting
- Weekly email communication with families (copying academy leadership)
- Regularly checking compliance with lifestyle rules: hygiene, punctuality, nutrition, rest, academic engagement, emotional
- Leading educational workshops on tennis tactics and technique
Candidate qualifications and skills
We are looking for a passionate and rigorous coach, capable of following players individually and acting as a key reference in their overall development.
Required qualifications and skills:
- Age: 30 years or older
- Minimum 5 years’ experience on the international circuit (ATP, WTA, ITF, Tennis Europe) and/or in a renowned tennis academy
- Tennis coaching diploma (national or international)
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational abilities
- Ability to lead a group and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- High standards and attention to detail
- Availability to travel internationally
