The Company

I Can Play Tennis Ltd has grown every year for the 12 years since it’s inception by myself, Matt Ward.  We are passionate about growing the game, and believe people learn best when they are having fun.

We now have 5 coaches, plus assistants, working across 10 clubs and 8 schools in the local area.  We have a long, trusted relationship with these venues and our work with them has grown membership and participation.  The facilities include artificial and hard courts, with floodlights; and grass courts at one club, so there is a good variety to our work all year round.

At our annual presentation evening we have over 200 people attending each year. We recognise the achievements of all, and present certificates, wristbands and 16 trophies!

The person

Empathy is the No.1 attribute I am looking for.  If you truly understand the people you are coaching, you can enable them to be their best.
Enthusiasm that is infectious.
An inspiring role model for your students.
Respected by parents.
Integrity in everything that you do.
Full of energy and positivity – with the self-discipline to make every session a great session.
Flexible communication styles. Able to be concise with on-court instructions, sensitive to players needs and emotions or firm with disruptive influences. Engaging with children and adults alike.
Organised – sessions should be full and clients fully engaged throughout.
A sense of fun – We enjoy what we do, and our clients should always be enjoying themselves too.
