Job Description SUMMARY Promote the game of tennis to members of the club. Support tennis social programs, competitive programs, and deliver lessons for all levels of ability for members and guests. Strive for the highest standards to provide a 5-Star experience. Implement solid business strategies and efficiencies to maximize teaching opportunities and progress students to the next level of play.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provide professional tennis lessons to members and guests. Run clinics for all levels of ability. Teach weekly junior classes and develop/support competitive play opportunities. Reserve teaching courts and assist members with their court reservations. Communicate promptly and professionally with members who call, text, and email. Run tournaments and events. Develops and establishes a broad range of relationships among customer base by being visible at all times. Maintains a professional image and personal appearance at all times. Protects and maintains all company assets. Promotes the image and standards of the facility and the Management Group through the media, USPTA and other professional organizations. Host social tennis events to encourage participation in the club. Support internal & external tennis leagues for men, women and children. Host club championships and other member guest events. String Racquets for Members. Report any upkeep, safety, and maintenance concerns to the Tennis Director. Conduct summer tennis children’s camps each year for members and their guests. Carry out within capabilities all reasonable requests by Management. Assist in any other assignment or emergency situation.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage support staff at events and tournaments when the Tennis Director is unavailable.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School diploma or GED and 4 year degree preferred. 4.5 + Level Player, at least 5 years of experience as a Teaching Professional, former Collegiate player preferred LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to speak one-on-one effectively to internal and external customers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS There are no specific mathematical skills required. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS The following Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations are required: Current USPTA Professional Certification or equivalent PTR Certification Current CPR Certification PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT Outside on the tennis courts and related areas.
