Head Coach

Job Summary 

We are looking for a coach who wants to go all in. 3 simple skills required:

Be a good person.
Work hard.
Show your passion for tennis every day.

Who we are looking for. Someone who:

  • Has a good playing standard
  • Would like be a part of a successful team
  • Can deliver high quality sessions with energy and want to work in high performance
  • Has a friendly personality
  • Could volunteer 1 hour per week for some disability tennis coaching
  • Is available to work on Saturdays
  • Willing to work in all areas of the programme such as Mini Tennis, Adult Coaching, Competitions etc and assisting the Head Coach
  • Preferably Cardio Tennis qualified
  • Can work well within a team and manage coaching staff led by a Level 5 Head Coach
  • Available to work Holiday Camps

Venue and Company Description

We are located in Merton Park, South West London, and provide a thriving coaching programme to over 300 players per week on the 5 floodlit all-weather artificial clay courts. Our club was 'Surrey Club of the Year 2018/19' and the Head coach has won a number of awards for the standard of lessons and the programme developed since 2013.

Our members are great and such a nice club to work in. The committee are really supportive of the coaching team and especially the juniors.

We have a team of 4 coaches and would like to add another strong coach to our team.

Candidate Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for someone that works well within a team and is committed to improving themselves as well as others. Ideally, we would like someone that has worked in a performance environment, that has a lot of technical knowledge to help improve the standard of play across the programme. Someone that is confident with teaching in all areas of the programme from beginners to high-performance players and is hard working, can show your passion every day and generally just a good person, will work very well within our team.
