We are looking to recruit a new Head Coach for our thriving club. We have a total of five floodlit courts (three hard courts and two artificial clay) plus a mini court with practice wall. We currently have c. 275 members including approximately 100 junior/mini members. The club is well situated in the heart of Monmouthshire within easy walking distance to the bustling town centre of Abergavenny. There are multiple adult and Children’s teams taking an active role in leagues across Wales. The club has a pleasant, well fitted club house including changing facilities. The current Head Coach has been with the club for eight years and will be leaving the role on good terms and in a very healthy position for the incoming Head Coach. She is leaving the role for personal reasons and will remain a valued member of the club; she is also planning to retain her coaching accreditation and, if required, will be very willing and happy to support the new Head Coach. The successful applicant will work closely with the very supportive committee to develop and further grow the coaching programme.
Abergavenny is a market town and community in Monmouthshire and is considered the gateway to Wales; it is approximately 6 miles from the boarder with England and is located where the A40 trunk road and the recently upgraded A465 Heads of the Valleys road meet. Abergavenny is almost entirely surrounded by mountains and provides easy access to the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park and the capital Cardiff.
