Havnar Tennisfelag (HTF) is looking for a Head of Performance Coach to join our team for the summer season 2025.
The coach will play a vital role in contributing to the development of young tennis players in HTF as well as coach some of the more experienced adult players. The coach will also contribute to advancing the coaching skills of our team of coaches.
The newly appointed coach will assist HTF with the planning, management and delivery of tennis courses and as well as help build up Faroe Islands’ elite junior tennis development programme in cooperation with the Head of Development at the Faroe Islands Tennis Association (FITA).
You will be joining us in a landmark period for tennis in the Faroe Islands, with a growing club membership as well as preparation for international participation in Tennis Europe Juniors tournaments and collaborations. Moreover, our national men’s and women’s team will participate in the Isle of Man games this summer, as well as the Faroe Islands will be hosting the Island Games in two years.
Havnar Tennisfelag (HTF) is located in Gundadalur in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands. The Faroe Islands are an archipelago situated in the North Atlantic Ocean approx. halfway in between Iceland, Norway and Scotland. HTF is member of the Faroe Islands Tennis Association (Tennissamband Føroya), which is the governing body of tennis in the Faroe Islands. In March 2025, the Faroe Islands unanimously became the 51st member of Tennis Europe.
We seek to increase the awareness of tennis in the Faroes by providing people of all ages and ambitions to become part of a welcoming and ambitious tennis community with access to superb facilities and high-quality tennis coaching, national competitions and events.
Tennis is an all-year round sport in the Faroes. During the summer, HTF club member play outdoors on fitted artificial grass in the HTF club venue in Gundadalur, Tórshavn, Faroe Islands.
