Job Summary

Overview

Grand Slam Tennis operates at Cammeray Tennis Club and Mosman Lawn Tennis Club, and at various schools within the local area.  The centres are extremely busy and in prime locations and require a senior coach who is highly qualified, confident in their own ability and energetic to keep up with the fast pace of the busy centres.  The coach must have the ability to coach a full range of programs, including Hot Shots, Adult and Junior Squads, school programs, high performance squads, and private lessons and be flexible to work evenings and weekends.

Venue and Company description

Grand Slam Tennis operates at 2 venues in the Lower North Shore of Sydney (Cammeray Tennis Club and Mosman Lawn Tennis Club).

Cammeray Tennis Club has 4 synthetic grass floodlit courts.

Mosman Lawn Tennis Club has 6 synthetic grass floodlit courts.

Grand Slam Tennis provides a full coaching program at Cammeray Tennis Club and Mosman Lawn Tennis Club including Hot Shots Tennis, Junior and Senior High Performance squads, Private lessons, Holiday Programs, School programs, UTR events, Adult Group classes and clinics.

Job duties and responsibilities

Description:

The Senior Tennis Coach role at Grand Slam Tennis encapsulates a blend of responsibilities tailored for a dynamic and driven professional. This individual needs to be a reliable, enthusiastic and highly motivated tennis professional who can lead, support and develop our coaching programs, as well as other coaches if necessary.  The coach will need to be involved in all aspects of coaching and be looking to establish a long term career path with a growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tailor comprehensive training plans for high performance squads and private lessons
  • Promote tennis and sports development, engaging with young individuals to foster a passion for the game
  • Coordinate tennis activities effectively
  • Personalise coaching methods, overseeing practice sessions to ensure continuous improvement.

Candidate qualifications and skills

Qualifications

  • Tennis Australia Club Professional or international equivalent is required, Tennis Australia Junior Development Coach will be considered.  Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar role highly regarded.
  • TA membership, Working with Children’s Check, Police Check and current First Aid.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Driver’s licence.
