Tennis and Schools Coach

Job Summary

Multi Sports/Tennis Coach Required Essex to join our growing team!

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated coach to join our coaching team. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of both an established, award winning academy programme and part of a forward thinking team, building a new site and club from the very start. It is an ideal position for a driven level 2 or 3 coach looking to further their coaching career and lead a new challenge.

10- 28.5 hours a week available immediately depending on needs of the coach. To include multisports curriculum time coaching, before and after school clubs (schools coach only) and/or school tennis coaching and tennis squads, to grow as much as the right candidate wants. Individual lessons also available on top of listed hours.

Within the role, there is scope to design and deliver your own coaching programme on behalf of the academy, under the supervision of the Academy Director, and be part a team creating a tennis club at one of our new sites.
There is opportunity for the right candidate to grow hours very quickly through individual lessons,
developing squads, running initiatives and tournaments/matchplay. With the right vision and ethos, this role could lead to Head Coach across other sites quickly

Venue and Company description

The Tennis Academy’s philosophy is fun whilst learning and tennis for all. We aim
to motivate students and encourage a passion for tennis and sport, delivering exciting active
tennis and multisport coaching sessions in a positive environment, welcoming students of all ages
and abilities. We currently have 2 venues: Witham and Maldon, all with 4 outdoor floodlit courts
and are in talks to acquire further sites.  Our passion is grass roots tennis for all, building community where there is none and delivering excellence in coaching at affordable prices.

Job duties and responsibilities

To deliver our schools programme (multisports and tennis involving a range of before school, after school and curriculum time sessions)

To deliver tennis coaching in weekday and weekend squads

To be part of the development team building a new programme at our new venue

To host matchplay and intra-club competitions

To be part of a successful team

Candidate qualifications and skills

The ideal candidate for this role will be an energetic self-motivated coach keen to enthuse students with a love of the sport. You will be positive and patient to students, communicate effectively in a motivational way, and be keen to work with both juniors and adults. Ideally you will hold a full driving licence and have a car to drive to the venue.
Ideally you will be a level 3 coach, but an excellent level 2 coach looking to complete their level 3
qualification will be considered.
You will be able to work on your own and as part of a team, be reliable and committed to coaching regular sessions. You will hold a valid DBS, First Aid and Safeguarding certificates and your own public liability insurance.
