Job Summary
We are currently seeking experienced full-time and part-time Tennis Professionals to start immediately. Responsibilities include teaching tennis skills in a positive and progressive manner, instill enjoyment of the game, teach etiquette and rules, demonstrate and lead tennis drills/games, and set up and tear down equipment. Providing expert feedback, and conducting private/group lessons to players of all skill levels are important functions of the role.

Job duties and responsibilities
- Lead by example and promote the Club core values.
- On court instruction of private and group lessons for all ages levels.
- Assists the Racquets Director with organizing play and lesson schedules.
- Administer drills and games to make the instruction time fun as well as advancing tennis knowledge, skill, and technique.
- Maintain an organized lesson schedule.
- Ensure students are enjoying the lessons and the lessons are adapted based on the needs of the student with the goal that they will continue developing and enjoying the game of tennis.
- Assist with routine court maintenance responsibilities as needed (brush, line, water) and have the basic understanding of the court watering system. Ensuring tennis balls, ball machines and court amenities are properly used and maintained.
- Complete any other tasks as assigned by the Director of Racquet Sports
Candidate qualifications and skills
Skills:
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Proficient playing and teaching skills
Qualifications:
- USPTA or PTR coaching certification, unless ATP/WTA playing experience.
- General knowledge of retail and court maintenance.
Required Education and Experience:
- At least three years of college level and/or professional playing experience
- Proficient playing and teaching skills
Physical Demands:
- Position required to be physically fit as a strenuous teaching activity can occur for long periods of time (4 to 8 hours) under high temperature conditions
- Shifts include walking, running, standing, bending, pushing, pulling and lifting.
- Court maintenance can include heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Requires a normal range of hearing and vision.
- Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office, retail and tennis equipment.
