Assistant Tennis Professional for Northwood Club - Full Time Northwood Club is a rapidly growing with increased membership. The Club was established in 1946. We are a premier country club located in Dallas, Texas, best known for hosting the 1952 U.S. Open. We just re-opened our newly renovated PGA Championship Golf Course in April. The club has a Distinguished Clubs of the World Emerald Designation for outstanding member service. Our staff consists of a wide range of professionals who are well recognized in areas of Tennis, Golf and Culinary. This position reports to the Director of Tennis and is classified as Commission and Non Exempt. Northwood Club has 12 outdoor tennis courts as well as 4 indoor courts. The club has a young and very active membership that enjoys participating in team tennis, group drills, special events, and private lessons. Northwood is member owned and Emerald distinguished club that is dedicated to exceptional service. Position is full time with benefits. Position Overview: The Assistant Tennis Professional will assist the Director of Tennis in promoting and developing all tennis activity programming for all ages. They will assist and support fellow employees, members, and guests to ensure an exceptional experience for everyone at the club. Will provide private and group lessons, work with other tennis professionals to support various tennis programs and member events, engage with membership regularly to increase member satisfaction. Essential Duties: Organize group and private lessons Assist in TCD team drills and other club programming Promote and maximize the Northwood Tennis programs Maintain a full lesson schedule (25-40 hrs/week) Integrate and organize new programs Assist with all major tennis activities Assist members with activity explanation, ball machine, answer any questions and assist with any other needs Attend regular staff meetings Maintain and dress in professional manner Help maintain cleanliness and appearance of tennis facilities Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Tennis Incorporates safe work practices in job performance Train under the Director of Tennis to become proficient in all management functions Education/Experience: College or Professional tennis background Minimum 3 years tennis professional experience High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred. Physical Demands: Daily vigorous activity, Stands, and walks; frequently uses hands, stoops, bends; frequently runs, reaches with hands and arms, talks and hears; occasionally climbs or balances; occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls; occasionally lifts up to 30 pounds. Certificates/Licenses: USPTA or PTR Certification preferred. CPR, AED & First Aid certification required.
