Full time Padel Tennis Coach

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Padel Tennis Coach with strong coaching expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for player development. This role is ideal for a coach who can deliver high-quality instruction, manage programs efficiently, and engage with players, parents, and the wider community.

Venue and Company description

We are a premier indoor tennis and padel facility in Calgary, Alberta, serving the community for over 45 years. We offer year-round padel tennis courts for members and the public, provide coaching to over 5,000 individuals annually.

Job duties and responsibilities

Program Development and Oversight

  • Design and implement engaging padel tennis programs for all skill levels, aligned with Aforza’s vision and goals.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness using participant feedback and performance metrics.
  • Maintain records of attendance, progress, and performance tracking.

Coaching and Player Development

  • Deliver expert coaching to individual and group participants, adapting instruction to skill level and development goals.
  • Lead player assessments, provide progression plans, and support long-term development pathways.

Leadership and Administration

  • Demonstrate strong administrative skills, including managing schedules, registrations, and program documentation.
  • Mentor junior or assistant coaches and support their professional development.
  • Exhibit professionalism and strong organizational abilities in all aspects of program management.
  • Utilize padel booking software effectively to manage courts, sessions, and participants.

Event Management

  • Assist with planning and delivering club padel tournaments, leagues, and social events.
  • Collaborate with club staff to integrate padel events with broader club initiatives.

Community Engagement and Promotion

  • Promote padel tennis to increase participation among members and the local community.
  • Act as a club ambassador, building relationships with players, parents, schools, and local organizations.
  • Lead outreach initiatives to attract new participants to the sport.

Compliance and Safety

  • Adhere to and enforce Aforza’s safety protocols during all coaching and padel activities.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all players.

Customer Service

  • Serve as a professional point of contact for members with questions or concerns about padel tennis.
  • Maintain positive and professional communication with players, parents, coaches, and club stakeholders.

Candidate qualifications and skills

Required Padel Coaching Certification

The successful candidate must hold a recognized padel coaching certification from a reputable governing body. Acceptable certifications include, but are not limited to:

  • FIP (Federación Internacional de Pádel) certification
  • WPT (World Padel Tour) Level 2 or 3 certification
  • Other nationally or internationally recognized padel coaching qualifications equivalent to these standards
  • Candidates with additional tennis coaching certifications ( , Tennis Canada Coach 1–2 or ITF equivalent) and experience applying progressive coaching models will be highly regarded.
  • Solid experience coaching padel tennis combined with a strong playing level.
  • Knowledgeable in progressive coaching models and long-term player development.
  • Experienced in padel court booking software and program administration.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills; able to mentor and guide staff effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with players, parents, coaches, and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
  • Ability to plan, run, and evaluate programs and events efficiently.
  • College degree in Sports Management, Kinesiology, Physical Education, or a related field preferred.
  • Passion for fostering a safe, inclusive, and positive club culture.
