Lead Tennis Coach

Job Summary

A great opportunity has arisen at our site for a Performance minded coach to  train a talented and dedicated 15yr old boy who has been playing tennis for a number of years at a high level, regularly playing in an age bracket in the under 18/16 age group. (LTA ranking was postponed due to Covid restrictions at the time). He has a good management team and structure around him, all that’s missing is a dedicated coach who can take him to the next level. This player has potential to be a very competitive tennis player  and if he can maximise his ability could do very well in National and junior under 18 ITF events around the world,

Venue and Company description

We are located in a picturesque rural village near Preston (North West) just a few miles from the Trough of Bowland and Beacon Fell. We have great motorway connections situated 15 minutes from the M6/M55 in Lancashire. We currently have a team of people dedicated towards developing the player in question including a programme manager, fitness consultant and a hitting partner of good level. We require a dedicated performance minded coach now to join the team and help enable the player reach his maximum potential.

The site has state of the art facilities for tennis: a fully equipped Gym is available on site along with an indoor US Open grade tennis court.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: Approx £25-30 per hour (To be agreed)

Job duties and responsibilities

Potential schedule of work load:- 

Monday to Friday Evenings. (typically 5 – 7pm). Additional hours 2 x day per week may be an option. Potential to do sessions during the hours of 7am – 4pm as well 

Weekend availability based around tournament provision

Occasional trips for tournaments will be required, with day rate to be agreed by programme manager.

Candidate qualifications and skills

Requirements for the role:

Level 3 LTA and above performance coach with good playing background/history.
Previous experience of playing competitive tennis to a county/national/international level.
Previous experience of working with players of similar age
A dedicated and conscientious applicant who is willing to go above and beyond.
