Job Description

We are looking for a coach to run our coaching programme which includes Sunday coaching (juniors and adults), after school tennis and holiday camps (summer). The club is looking for a coach who is open to new ways of working / change and is a good communicator; with school teachers, parents and committee members.

For the seasons Spring, early Autumn and late Autumn One block each term of 11-13 session per term (a total of three blocks with 3 or four sessions) covering Mini-red, Mini-Orange/Green, Adults and Cardio

  • For junior red coaching, Sundays 9.30 - 10.30 am
  • For junior orange/green coaching, Sundays 10.30 - 11.30 am
  • For adult coaching, Sundays 11.30 - 12.30 am
  • For adult cardio coaching, Sundays 12.30 - 1.30 pm
  • For school coaching, blocks of six weeks on foundation, year 1, year 2 and year 3.
  • Summer camps (two weeks)

Our Sunday coaching programme at Charvil Community Tennis Club has been established for a number of years and we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, forward thinking, experienced Level 2 coach who is currently undertaking their Level 3, or looking to undertake their level 3 qualification.

Who we are looking for someone who understand our Priorities;

  • To strengthen the school links with school next door with full offer and to expand into other schools in the local community to
  • Target Woodley for new members



Person Specification

Have a valid LTA Level 2 or Level 3 Accreditation would be considered for the right candidate

Have a car and a full driving license

We are looking for a coach to further develop our school links and to further expand our holiday program. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to build their hours from 5 hours per week. The coach will work at Charvil Community Tennis Club on a self-employed basis.

The successful candidate will have a free membership at Charvil Community Tennis Club, all equipment will be provided.

The CCTC committee will provide guidance and support to the successful candidate.

We aim to be renowned as a family friendly community, welcoming and fun tennis club. A place to combine tennis and socialising. Therefore we are looking for someone who is positive and approachable for Tennis for Kids programmes, Cardio Tennis and Team building;

The ability to deliver high energy club atmosphere, dynamic session for players of all ages and abilities.

  • Is passionate about the game
  • Can deliver high quality sessions for all age groups and abilities.
  • Good communication skills and works well within a team
  • High player retention
  • Has a strong work ethic
  • Willing to work in all areas of the programme such as Mini Tennis, Adult Coaching, Competitions and general development of the club
    • Preferably Cardio Tennis qualified
    • Experienced in the delivery of primary school coaching
    • Experience in setting up and running school holiday camps.
