US Sports Institute (USSI) is the premier provider of youth sports training in the North East and has offered sports programs and clinics for over twenty years. We are seeking Tennis Coaches for full time with flexible scheduling to suit your availability.

Tennis specific coaches are requested but we will consider all candidates with youth coaching experience across sports.

As a USSI tennis coach you will be provided with a specially designed curriculum, based on the structure set out by the USTA and the LTA’s (Lawn Tennis Association) Mini Tennis program. USSI Tennis Coaches will be responsible for working with children aged 3 to 14, however the majority of coaching you will be assigned to carry out will be with children aged 10 and under at a beginner to intermediate level . In many instances this will be the child's first time playing the sport.

Dependent on your skill set and coaching background, you may also have the opportunity to work on our advanced and adult programs. This may also include private lessons.

Tennis programs run year-round as weekly classes, 1-5 day school's out camps, and week long summer camps.


At a minimum, you should hold a PTR or USPTA 10 & Under coaching qualification (or any equivalent) . You will need to be able to deliver a confident, well structured tennis lesson to all ages and abilities. Outside the box thinking is a key requirement. We look for coaches who are able to cope and adapt their sessions dependent on any last minute changes which could occur. Applicants must understand the appropriate court size and set up requirement from USTA, dependent on the age group of the session. You must also possess the following qualities:

- A love and passion for working with young children

- Enthusiastic about tennis and patience teaching basic skills to beginners

- Experience working with and coaching tennis to groups sizes of 8 or more.

- Fun and bubbly personality

- Flexible outlook and "can do" attitude - Desire to learn and improve as a coach

- Good physical condition (due to the demands of the job)

- Ability to relate and communicate to children, parents and co-workers

- Excellent organization and time management skills

- Ability to deliver company philosophy and customer service standards
