Roland Garros 2010: Rain and... rain

It was raining cats and dogs yesterday. After our breakfast we started the day with a meeting with Sorana Cirstea. We had a good talk about the upcoming tennis events.

We had several trainings sessions during the rest of the day but the heavy rain practically ruined our tight schedule.

Fortunately our hitting session with Caroline Wozniacki was a success because we were able to secure a training court at a nearby tennis club (Annex). Despite the rain the tennis courts at Annex were dry & safe enough to play on. We decided to have lunch at the club together with 4 guys from Breda, Holland. They even brought a box of tomatoes for the chef.

One of the big advantages of working for a huge brand like Adidas is that they practically have all the clothing material you can think off. And therefore Mats and I would once again like to give a BIG thank you to Adidas for making it possible to bring us back to Roland Garros dry and warm :-).

Maria Kirilenko had the day off and as soon as it stopped raining for a while we worked with her for 20 minutes. At the end of the day I got to see Murray win his match in four sets, just in time before it got to dark to play.

At 22:00 we finally got the playing schedule for the next day which we were supposed to get at 20:45.

As soon as we got the schedule we have to quickly secure enough training courts for our players to prepare them for their matches. And tomorrow, Friday May 27, almost all our players have to play: Verdasco, Gonzalez, Kirilenko, Wozniacki, Hantuchova. So it was very busy at the reservation counter!

23:00: diner at the Champs-Élysées.
