An exciting position is available for a qualified coach as an independent contractor to our club. This allows the appointee to develop his or her own business while meeting contractual obligations to the club.

The Marlborough Tennis Club is the largest club in the province with 300 members, a very enthusiastic committee and supportive, high profile sponsors. As a result of new committee initiatives plans are being developed for continued improvement of all aspects of the club.

Club premises are located in Pollard Park, the botanical gardens, with excellent facilities comprising 14 recently refurbished hard courts, two artificial grass courts and two pavilions. Five of the courts including the artificial grass, have floodlighting.

 

The coach we seek should have a deep love for tennis and the enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to make a major contribution to the development of the game in Marlborough. Candidates who already reside and/or are allowed to work in New Zealand are favourable.

 

The new coach can expect to take up this position early in June 2010.
