Associate Tennis Professional-Part-Time

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 1. Responsible for providing group and private lesson instruction.
  • 2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on all students and classes that are assigned.
  • 3. Organize social and competitive tennis events for both juniors and adults.
  • 4. Maintaining impeccable teaching standards.
  • 5. Assists members by answering all questions courteously and in a timely fashion.
  • 6. Able to instruct students ages 3 years and up.
  • 7. Immediately notify supervisor of problems or potential problems as they arise.
  • 8. Promote, develop and "grow the game" in the area.
  • 9. Maintain accurate attendance and class sign-up books and registration forms.
  • 10. Ability to work with Tennis Team Leader in long term development of schools programs.
  • 11. Available to instruct a minimum of 30 hours per week.
  • 12. Responsible for cultivating new/existing member business through presentations, cold calls to past participants, and community awareness.
  • 13. Report all weekly critical numbers to Tennis Team Leader.
  • 14. Invite a minimum of8 people per month to participate in up-coming league/class or social activities.
  • 15. Maintain a neat and professional personal appearance, by wearing the MVP Sports Clubs inform (see uniform matrix) and name badge.
  • 16. Other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1. USTA member
  • 2. USPTA or USPTR certification as P-2 or higher
  • 3. Minimum of three to four years of college education
  • 4. Involvement with FTA and USTA
  • 5. CPR and first aid certification in infants, children and adults
  • 6. Minimum of 2 years teaching experience
  • 7. College playing experience preferred at NCAA DIV I, II or III level
  • 8. Customer Service Skills required
  • 9. Excellent organizational skills
  • 10. Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • 11. Must be able to work extra hours, weekends, and holidays if needed
  • 12. Proven track record of accountability and integrity
  • 13. Familiar with various teaching tools needed to carry out principle responsibilities
  • 14. Ability to play and teach tennis requiring standing, running, directional movements, swinging of racquet and holding of multiple tennis balls for at least 8 hours straight per day.
  • 15. Physical Requirements: Bend, stoop, crouch, climb, stand, sit and turn/pivot; lift/lower, push, pull and carry up to 40 lbs; perform office tasks using simple hand grasping, fine hand manipulation and reach associated with assigned tasks such as paperwork, typing, and/or word processing, filing, calculating and use of telephone; see, hear, and speak with sufficient capability to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions.
