At the exclusive BNP Paribas Open Player's Party, Sven Groeneveld was awarded his 10sBalls.com 2010 Top Coach Trophy. Sven's award was announced late last year, but the BNP Paribas Player's Party was the perfect setting to bestow Sven with the trophy.
The BNP Paribas Player's party was exclusive to main draw players and their guests. It was an amazing event, and all the top pros were in attendance (shots of the players entering on the "green" carpet will be up shortly). Towards the middle of the evening, Big Boss of 10sBalls.com got together Sven, his amazing assistant Mats Merkel, Caroline Wozniacki, Fernando Verdasco, and Sorana Cirstea to give Sven the award.
The trophy was an exclusive Tiffany's silver tennis can. It is an extremely rare gift as only six were ever produced.
In typical Sven fashion, he modestly claimed he didn't deserve it, but 10sBalls.com knows better. Last year Sven helped catapult Caroline Wozniacki to #1. However, his entire life story is even more interesting and was featured in a two part profile on 10sBalls.com.
